Time

My focus was on time this week. I wanted to tie into the final project theme, so I scanned some of the photos and found some that represent the progression of time. Faded blue jeans and the "wrinkles" from the folds of the fabric suggest progression of time ...."wearing on all of us". My son actually took the photo of the glasses and clock which I love. Children do such a great job of not overthinking things and often get a much more interesting focus of an image. The glasses and section of the clock immediately made me think of time marching onward....glasses meaning aging to me and the clock's image of the mortality of us all. The image of the side mirror on our car as we drove through the rain is one of my favorites also because of the combination of the sleepy, dreamy state created by the rain, the message on the mirror of "things my be closer than they appear", and the image of the pavement markings projecting movement forward.

chandeliers

I just thought this image of a chandelier was cool and pretty. Kind of reminded me of a dandelion.

Reading

I had the great good fortune to have some time to read some escapism stuff and decided to take a random picture of the book pages themselves. I love the way the picture draws the viewer into the book even though the whole book is not in frame. The line of the text and angles of the book created an interesting, slightly diagonal plane. The words vary in size and seem distorted. It is a view from the reader's perspective.

I took this picture down town on the side of a building. The rays of light that come out of the center and make a continuous patter is really cool.

Water Spout

I took this picture in Branson. There was a coulorful fountain tht shot up water in a row and I wanted to try to get the water in the air. As you can see it worked. Whats cool, is that even thought water is clear we can still see it in mid air.
