Artists nurture their ability to find interest or beauty in the mundane, the ordinary and the natural world. Through practice, they accentuate this focus, typically as a driving force in their work. From Observation is a community blog project that engages its participants to take part in this exercise by finding beauty and interest in their everyday lives.
For me, seeing this almost makes me want to get a lighter and see what type of shapes I can make it form. I had almost overlooked the heart shape until you mentioned it.
ReplyDeleteI love this one. I'm not a pyro either but fire is a very interesting thing. It can take some lovely forms. The fact that you caught it at the form you did is great. It kind of takes idea of firey passion or something like that.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the fluid movement that fire makes. You captured it beautifully both in form and color. A flat image that feels alive and dimensional....very nice. To me, fire inspires reflection and is often hypnotizing....this image speaks to both of those things well.
