Repetition/Pattern

The first picture was taken while I was working on some painting for class and was just looking around and noticed the blinds leaving their shadow across Casey's painting and liked the way it looked.
The second one was taken at a friend's house. I know it's nothing real special because it's a regular thing that everyone can notice easily if you have blinds but I enjoy the way the picture turned out, especially since the blinds look smaller as they progress into the lower right corner.

  1. I actually was drawn into the second picture because there is more room for interpretation and more powerful design qualities. The repetition and fading of lines into a solid area draws the eye across the image and creates a nice feeling of depth. The gradual changes in value of the grays is very powerful as it leads to almost a feeling of vertigo...really fun to look at!

  2. i really enjoy the second picture because of the angle the picture is taken, it almost looks like a drawing rather than a photograph

  3. I like both pictures. I like the shape of the sunshine and how it bends around the picture. The 2nd one is cool too because it seems to have so much depth like as it gets darker its going into some deep abyss or something.

  4. The second pic makes me think of the powerpoint backgrounds and it also gives off that quality of texture like there's more to it then there really is.
