I love looking past the surface of things and one of my dogs has the most wonderful skin and fur that I couldn't resist pushing around on it to get lots of furrows that I could take close-ups of. The color and texture are so interesting to me and I think they lend themselves to the creation/imagination of other objects or landscapes. The lasagna I had to add because it lends itself so well to the topic of layers. Although my husband makes a "mean" lasagna, it looks rather repugnant close up. I guess the perspective from which an object is viewed can certainly change the feeling about that object both in the identification of what the object is and how it makes you feel.

After looking at the dog foreheads I don't want to eat whatever is in the third picture.
