Artists nurture their ability to find interest or beauty in the mundane, the ordinary and the natural world. Through practice, they accentuate this focus, typically as a driving force in their work. From Observation is a community blog project that engages its participants to take part in this exercise by finding beauty and interest in their everyday lives.
I used to have a lamp like that when I was younger and swung it around like that so just looking at your pictures takes me back to those times. They truly look like fireworks and are lovely to look at.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I enjoyed the warmth and color of both pictures, the first more abstract photo was more appealing. The light blurring suggesting movement, combined with the warm colors, offers itself up to personal interpretation as to the object itself and the action involved. That mystery is much more difficult to create but also has more impact on the viewer than to simply capture a great picture of an obvious object. Great work!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures!! I had no idea what they were, love the abstractness of them. The bottom one does look like fireworks though. The top ones remind me of worms for some reason lol.
ReplyDeleteNice job Kaity!
